Book Publishing & Editorial Services

Whether you have an idea for a book or have already written it, we know that every author's journey is unique. That’s why we've segmented our services into five stages, or “legs” of book publishing.

We customize the requirements for your project and help with all the legs, a few of them, or just one.

Let's talk about what best fits your needs.

5 Legs of the Publishing Journey

1) Discovery

We'll dive into the status and topic of your work, your motivations, your audience, what sets it apart, market research, and more to help evaluate where you're at, the level of help you need, and how to achieve your personal or business goals.

2) Writing & Editorial

This is where your book gets written. Support can range from advice on getting started to working on narrative structure and story arcs, from proofreading to developmental editing to ghostwriting, even helping to take advantage of AI and acting as a coach to keep you on track.

3) Production

You have a manuscript! That's a great accomplishment. Now, what about converting that into the final files needed to publish? Plus, there's cover art and copy, formatting, keywords, categories, metadata, pricing, ISBNs, file testing,  inventory, knowing how Amazon's and other services work, and more to worry about. We take the pain away.

4) Publishing

Are you looking to try a traditional publishing route by querying agents or editors? We'll help with that or help you get it self-published through Amazon, IngramSpark, or some other third party. Additionally, ImagineHouse sometimes considers submissions of completed works for publication.

5) Marketing & Sales

You have a book, but how will anyone know it exists without promoting or distributing it? This might entail a blog, building an email list, getting your book to influencers, doing a press release, a video campaign, leaning into social media, book readings, conference appearances, or even paid ad campaigns. There are many choices across a range of budgets, and it's not one-size-fits-all.

These five legs will help clarify where you need help in your writing journey and bring your book to life.

Which leg(s) are right for you?
